I did listen to the debate in committee and UNFORTUNATELY, they have the Voters Rights Act of 1965 and a SCOTUS decision (Dunn v. Blumstein) on their side with regards to the established residency duration question.
To you wonderful, committed and hard-working UNPAID VOLUNTEERS AT SD Canvassing, I know this is not what you wanted to read, but apparently people in SoS's office finally got something right...they apparently did not publish this important piece of information to save the rest of us a lot time.
Introduced by Mike Mansfield D-MT, it passed the House 328-74 and the Senate 77-18.
Now for something to ponder regarding using P.O. boxes for "travelers".
Let's say I live in Valley Springs, SD (I don't)...let's also say I rent P.O. boxes in Larchwood., IA and Hills. MN (I don't). The distance between all three is about 40 miles. I could very easily vote in three states and still have time for a round of golf (which I definitely won't!).
Dang commies coming for every state. Hang tough. Same here in FL. You have to watch this legislation, like a hawk.
