The last couple of weeks in South Dakota brought the conflict between the grassroots and the establishment to a boiling point.
For three years now citizens have been bringing their concerns about the elections to county officials and legislators. At the county level, most commissions ignore and override. The South Dakota Association of County Officials, led by Kris Jacobson, promotes legislation and county action against the election integrity movement, by telling the sheep how to vote and what to think. And in counties where the citizens are really effective, there is a coordinated effort amongst the State’s Attorneys to fight them with lawfare. All of the above are in cahoots with the Secretary of State’s Office, and possibly the Governor’s Office. The events of the last month paint quite the picture.
The petition effort was made public about three weeks ago. And there was an immediate knee jerk reaction and backlash against it. So called “election experts”, lawyers, legislators, lobbyist and the like all jumped in to try to “address this problem that popped up.” Read our last article HERE.
Check out the timeline of events:
Petitions circulating in Lawrence and Butte Counties.
Feb 9 - Kristen Conzet was appointed by Gov. Noem to fill vacancy in District 32.
Feb 14 - Nichole introduced the county ordinance petition via the SD Canvassing Substack.
Feb 19 - Fall River County Commissioners voted to hand count.
The week of Feb 19, Jessica interviewed three times on Lindell TV re: petitions initiative.
Feb 23 – Hand Counting Event at the Capitol, with petition booth and sign ups.
Following the hand counting event we had interest and/or action from 26 counties.
Feb 26 – Lawrence County submitted petitions.
Feb 27 – The Lawrence County Commissioners were notified by the auditor/states attorney of the petition. There was some brief conversation where they stated that they felt it was unconstitutional in some way.
Feb 29 – HB1140 was hoghoused by Casey Crabtree with Amendment D, with an emergency clause, in an effort to STOP counties from moving to hand counting either by a commission vote or petitions. The SD Association of County Commissioners stated they needed to address this problem that just popped up.
Somewhere in there Rebecca Reimer became the prime sponsor of the bill. She is big buddies with Monae Johnson, and was seen walking and talking with Deputy SOS Tom Diedrick. (neither of them are the sharpest tools in the shed) No doubt, she was getting coached by the bumbling, failed dentist turned lawyer, and long time Pierre swamp rat.
An epic battle ensued with Amendments D, E, G, H and I, and a back and forth in the Senate and the House, along with conference committees to try and get this unconstitutional bill passed.
Reimer propped up the bill as an answer to illegal wording on these election petitions being circulated. But the bill had nothing to do with one line on a petition, but had everything to do with violating our Constitutional Rights to Petition the Government.
The South Dakota Constitution in Article 3 Section 1 states that “the people expressly reserve to themselves the right to propose measures, which shall be submitted to a vote of the electors of the state.”
Article 6 Section 4 of the South Dakota Constitution states that “the right of petition, and of the people peaceably to assemble to consult for the common good and make known their opinions, shall never be abridged.”
Section 26 further states that “all political power is inherent in the people, and all free government is founded on their authority, and is instituted for their equal protection and benefit, and they have the right in lawful and constituted methods to alter or reform their forms of government in such manner as they may think proper.”
The US Constitution refers to the same inherent rights to petition the government in the first amendment. The 14th amendment states that “no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States….” most importantly, the right of petition…….shall NEVER be abridged.
Rep. Sue Peterson argued on the House Floor that the answer to a (claimed but not actual) illegal petition is not for the legislature to address, but rather the judicial branch. Further, she stated that the legislature can’t address an unconstitutional issue by doing something unconstitutional. (Watch the hearing HERE. Definitely worth your time.)
Rep. Jon Hansen’s arguments on the floor were brilliant, but the quote of the year went to Rep. Scott Odenbach. He said:
Back to Kristen Conzet. Conzet was appointed with 17 days left to go in the legislative session. There was speculation she had been sent in targeting a specific bill. After the weeks events unfolded, it became apparent it was HB1140.
Conzet was appointed the Chair of the conference committee on HB1140. Conzet repeatedly got up on the House Floor urging the passage of the bill - with the emergency clause so the government could immediately interfere in county elections in 2024. When it didn’t pass, they went back and stripped the emergency clause, allowing for a simple majority vote to pass the bill. With bated breath, we waited for the votes.
There was quite a reaction that is audible. A TIE VOTE!!! It failed!! THANK THE LORD ABOVE IT FAILED!
Will Mortenson (Schoenbeck lackey and fellow Marxist) freaks out, jumps up and yells “do not concur.” Speaker Bartels, having enough of the shenanigans, says “We’re good.”
Remember the names in GREEN. They have no problem violating your constitutional rights (after swearing an oath to the constitution) to stop you from disturbing the status quo.
After the disastrous green new deal steamroller destroyed property rights under the very deceptive bill package labeled the “Landowner Bill of Rights”, this win was EPIC!
Air Force Veteran Nichole Braithwait and election aficionado Rick Weible detailed the week’s events in an explosive interview with Sherrona Bishop. Click below. You don’t want to miss this interview!!
As South Dakota leads the way in the fight for election integrity - over half the counties in the State are represented in the petition initiative in just three weeks. Get your county on the map today! Send an email to petitionsSD@proton.me.
UP NEXT - how the liars (lawyers) are twisting the law to fit their narrative and how to fight back with facts and the truth! Be looking for this email. You are all going to need it to fight the liars in your county!
Happy weekend! Enjoy and revel in the WIN that has sent shockwaves around the country. We will NEVER back down to TYRANTS!
And please send Reps Sue Peterson, Jon Hansen and Scott Odenbach a HUGE THANK YOU for their amazing effort to stop HB1140!

We are a volunteer organization working for Free, Fair, Transparent and Secure elections, now and for future generations.
If Governor Noem is truly in on this like I'm sure she's in on SB201, then she needs to be pressured.
A lot of people on X think she's VP material! If found she's been pushing for this, I think Mike Lindell needs to call her out on it.
On another note, my emails to Mr. Hoffman must be hitting a nerve as he's trying to get me to come to his office for a meeting. I've already informed him that we are too far apart on this issue and a meeting of the minds won't accomplish anything!
Mr Hoffman also has been adding hit pieces and more propaganda on his fakebook page from what I've been privied to.
They are now backed into a corner and their ugliness is rearing its head!
With 1140 out of the way now, they no longer have any standing in the argument. They need to be kept on the defense!
My wife and I were astonished to find out after we became SD residents in 2014 that the three supposedly Republican US reps were really all RINOs. For a while we thought at least Governor Noem seemed like a true conservative but over the years we now have no faith in any of these people. We will absolutely keep the names of those who voted to deny us our right to free and fair elections to use as a guide for voting out of office. Great work and thank you all for doing this!
