An Historic Day for Elections, both in South Dakota and the United States of America

Today, Governor Larry Rhoden signed 20, yes TWENTY, election bills into law!

Pictured above is Senator Amber Hulse with the Governor signing SB73, Representative Heather Baxter with the Governor signing HB1062, and Representative Tony Kayser with the Governor signing HB1208.

BTW: Monae Johnson is only there in her official capacity. Her office testified against all of our bills, three years in a row. Of the five bills brought by the Secretary of State, ZERO passed.

We are especially proud of:

• SB68 - requires anyone who votes in the State to be a United States Citizen

• SB89 - repeals the requirement that judicial officers be listed on a separate nonpolitical ballot

• HB1062 - significantly reduces fees for public voter rolls and increases transparency

• HB1066 - strengthens the definition of residency for voting purposes

• HB1208 - provides a federal only ballot for voters who do not meet the qualifications of the state to vote in local elections

Also thank you to Sen. Hulse for:

• SB73 - changes the definition of residency for drivers licensing to match definition of residency for voting

• SB75 - requires indication of citizenship on the drivers license or state issued ID

• SB185 - voter challenge bill which allows challenges based on residency

Right after leaving the Capitol, we heard the news that President Trump signed an executive order Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections!

“Election Fraud, you’ve heard the term?”

President Trump said there will be more in the upcoming weeks. We can’t wait to see what that entails.

There is a lot to unpack in the E.O., which we will share with you in coming days. Short story is, good things are coming, and there is more in there than meets the eye!

Then, after hearing about the E.O., we found a Substack sent out from our Republican National Committeewoman Heidi Engelhart sharing information on the RNC.

The RNC sent out records requests to 48 states seeking records on voter list accuracy and maintenance compliance…….

Under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and state public records laws, states have to retain and provide records to the public on how they are maintaining accurate lists of registered voters. The American people have a right to know if states are effectively taking steps to remove ineligible individuals from the voter rolls, including the deceased, criminals, out-of-state movers, and non-citizens.

We wonder how Monae Johnson is going to explain not having any mechanism in place to verify citizenship, ordering the Minnehaha County Auditor to re-instate 8 DECEASED VOTERS, and the thousands upon thousands on our rolls that WE have identified as having applied for a permanent change of address with the USPS. (for starters)

Currently machines that produce a ballot in which the voter’s selections are encoded in bar code or quick response code can be used. However, the EAC has 180 days to come up with new standards and such QR or bar codes will not be permitted.

Arkansas currently has only one approved voting machine. The state uses the ExpressVote ballot marking device and the DS200 tabulator. The ExpressVote produces bar codes that voters cannot verify. Those bar codes contain the voter’s selections, and it is those bar codes the tabulator is reading.

These are the exact types of machines that are targeted by Trump’s order. Now, under this executive order, not a single ballot marking device will be capable of certification as currently configured except for the handicapped.

This is good news for Arkansans who have long been unhappy with barcodes they cannot read. The American Voter Integrity Initiative has pushed for an end to the use of voting machines for three years. This includes lawsuits, ballot initiatives, and advocacy. AVII has been active in Wisconsin, Arizona, Arkansas, and Georgia carrying the message that barcodes are untrustworthy and likely violate the Help America Vote Act because they do not permit a voter to verify his or her votes before casting the ballot.

Sound familiar? Yep, that’s because the machines used in Arkansas are exactly what are used here in South Dakota. The very same HAVA violating ADA machines that Sara Frankenstein used to terrorize the county commissions to trample the constitution and the rights of their citizens. Yep, those machines that are now in real time being exposed for being the very thing that VIOLATES HAVA.

What is the likelihood that the EAC will certify all machines to VVSG 2.o in 180 days? LOL - this is a dysfunctional governmental agency remember. We are still hoping the President appoints new EAC members; qualified, patriotic American EAC members, that could decertify everything.

What a heck of a day. One only a few short months ago we thought we may never see. Buckle your seat belts, the ride is going to get bumpy. More will come out in the weeks and months ahead.
